The Olympics

La, Huitieme Olympiade, to be held in Paris next year, will associate Arts and Sports with the Olympic Games. The French Executive Committee, under the Presidency of the Marquis de Polignac (well known in New York and Washington) is making arrangements for five international artistic competitions:

1) Architecture

2) Literature

3) Music

4) Painting

5) Sculpture

Such work shall be original and directly connected with sports.

The winners of the Artistic Competitions will receive from the President of the French Republic "the same medal awarded to the winner of the Athletic Games."
