The "Titian"

The "Titian"

Efrem Zimbalist went to Europe with his friend Jascha Heifetz and came back to New York, bringing the Titian violin, made 208 years ago by Antonio Stradivari and ranked by European experts as one of the four finest violins in the world. It cost Zimbalist $33,000.

The instruments usually associated with the Titian are: the German-owned Joachim, the British-owned Messiah, the Scottish-owned Alard.
