An Enigma
POINCARE -- Sisley Huddleston -- Little Brown ($2.50). Called a biographical portrait, this book attempts to solve the enigma which the French call Poincare. The author is not particularly successful. He hardly pierces the veil of the unknown that hangs around the ex-Premier, but he makes many shrewd comments and gives some first-hand impressions of the man who has "les poings, poings, poings . . . les poings carres!"
