The election of Dr. Walter B. James as a life trustee of Columbia University to succeed Judge Robert S. Lovett, Chairman of the Board of the Union Pacific R. R. (resigned because of ill health), turned attention to the list of life trustees of the largest university in the world: William B. Persons (civil engineer), Chairman; Nicholas M.
