Van Heusen's Loss

Some time ago, one John B. Bolton of Philadelphia invented a fabric out of which collars could be made. Shortly afterward, a soft collar was put on the market, advertised by thousands of brittle, frostily handsome young men who stared down at the great U. S. public from streetcar nooks and up at them from the back pages of magazines. It was called the Van Heusen collar. Forthwith, John B. Bolton of Philadelphia brought suit against one John M. Van Heusen of Jamaica Plain, Mass., to recover $6,000,000. Last week, the court awarded him $1,314,241 of that amount.
