Composition

The 70th Congress assembles on Dec. 5. Its component parts began filtering into Washington last week. In Denver, a special election returned S. Harrison White, Democrat, the victor over State Senator Francis J. Knauss, Republican, to fill the vacancy in the House of Representatives left by the death of Representative William N. Vaile, Republican. That made the House membership:
