Haldane's Grave

It was discovered that the grave of Richard, first Viscount Haldane of Cloan, Scottish statesman buried last fortnight (TIME, Aug. 20), had been opened during the night. A man was found asleep in a corner of the graveyard. Investigation identified him as the stranger who had momentarily halted Lord Haldane's funeral in London to protest. He explained that he was a spiritualist, said Lord Haldane was not dead, that he had a message for him. The man has been arrested.
