Radio Prizes

Last week the Atwater Kent Foundation awarded the prizes for its second annual radio auditions. Some 60,000 singers between 18 and 25 had competed for $5,000, a gold decoration and a two-year scholarship at a leading U. S. conservatory. Contralto Hazel Cecilia Arth, 25, of Washington, D. C., was voted best of the women; Tenor Donald Norris, 22, of Pasadena, Calif., best of the men.
