Mushers
Out of a blinding blizzard, just past the eleventh hour of a bitter northern night, stumbled Emil St. Goddard and his six northern huskies to win The Pas Dog Derby last midweek. They had made the 200-mile non-stop mush from The Pas, Manitoba, to Flin Flon in 36 hr., 59 min. Earl Brydges came in three minutes later to finish second. St. Goddard, by that narrow margin, kept his record clear. He has won the event each year since 1925.
