Et Cetera It Ain't Over Yet
A recent poll indicates that a growing number of people believe America's economy is improving while the prospect of Japanese dominance is waning. The survey, conducted by the New York Times, CBS News and the Tokyo Broadcasting System, found that 45% of the 1,333 American respondents felt the U.S. will be the main economic power of the 21st century. That is a 50% increase from a similar poll taken last year. The Japanese were not as optimistic: 71% of the 1,357 citizens contacted viewed the state of their economy as "fairly" or "very" bad.
