Health-Care Professionals, Washington-Style

Now that Bill Clinton's health-security act is before Congress, insurance and drug companies will begin their lobbying efforts in earnest. To help them in this task, many have recently hired former members of Congress and congressional aides who have a particular knowledge of the legislative process as it relates to health care. They also have particular knowledge of the people in Congress who, having worked with them, will take their phone calls.
