You've Come A Long Way, Baby

You may not have heard of Fatboy Slim, but if you've been to the movies lately, you've probably heard his music. The British deejay specializes in "big beat," a bouncy blend of hip-hop and house music, and his songs have been featured in the trailers for such teen flicks as 10 Things I Hate About You, Go and She's All That. Virtually all the sounds on this album are sampled, and there are few lyrics, so just sitting and listening to it is a bit of a bore. But when Fatboy Slim gets in a groove, the results can be uplifting. And the low-rent video for Praise You, with its amusingly terrible choreography, shows he has a sense of humor too.
