A BAND APART

The 2000 version of the NCAA Tournament will be remembered less for upsets and dunks than for the unprecedented proliferation of headbands. They were everywhere, in a rainbow of colors, on players of all races, sizes and hairdos. Herein the NCAA's true Final Four, the dedicated young men who wore their headbands as if nothing else mattered.
