Performance Of The Week
Sailing a boat built for a crew of 10 and sleeping just four hours a day, Frenchman FRANCIS JOYON, 47, set a new world's speed record for a solo trip around the world. He began his voyage on Nov. 22 and, 72 days 22 hr. 54 min. and 22 sec. later, crossed the finish line off his home port of Brest--beating the old record by an astonishing 20 days. "I'm really happy to be home," he said upon his return. "You are really alone."
