Blogwatch
By the time die-hard fans were trekking out to see Revenge of the Sith for the fifth time, others had ditched their Yoda suits to blog about the film's politics. Some lambasted Lucas for a purported liberal agenda that seems to equate Bush with the dark side. "Grow a spine and boycott the movie," argued a right-wing fan on BLOGS FOR BUSH. While conservatives raged, others defended the film. "Get a life!" said a posting on CENTERFIELD. "It isn't Hollywood's fault there aren't any talented right-wing filmmakers." The verdict from INSTAPUNDIT? Politically neutral but weak on dialogue. "It would have played better as a silent film."
