Abstract
The function of fertilizer applications is to raise the level of soil fertility and biological activity in the soils and farming areas where they are used by increasing the amounts of available plant nutrients, in particular, nitrogen and phosphorus. As a result, adverse environmental impacts may occur to water quality. In recent years, there has been a large body of research directed toward the need to reduce the fertilizer contribution to these problems.
