Abstract

This article addresses removal of H₂S from industrially useful gas streams and its conversion to elemental sulfur. Emphasis is given to the description of recent advances in the understanding of sulfur recovery methods resulting from the drive to reduce and eliminate sulfur emissions from the utilization of natural gas and crude oil.
