The reason to get back into windows is to use Delta NMR software to process my NMR spectra. This delta software has its linux edition. Before that I tried several times, always got problem in installing it. Today after spending about 3 hours surfing on the web and finally find a clue to solve it.
Download the recent edtion, then:
cp DeltaInstaller_v4.3.6_Linux.bin DeltaInstaller_v4.3.6_Linux.bin.bak
cat DeltaInstaller_v4.3.6_Linux.bin.bak | sed “s/export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/#xport LD_ASSUME_KERNEL/” > DeltaInstaller_v4.3.6_Linux.bin
The problem is from the self-installing packing software InstallAnyware, as said by those web heroes.
Linux is born with the internet. Now the spreading of linux also owes a lot to the web.
Thanks to wine, IsisDraw and SciFinder can be used under linux. Now I can rarely use windows.
