Mahatma Gandhi

Yesterday thanks to TCM (Turner Classic Movies) I just saw the 1982 Oscar best picture movie: Gandhi

Compared to others, I would say, “nonviolence non corporation” is really a mild but stronger way against injustice, full of the nature of human being and a dream of eternal peace. One quote I remember is “Happiness doesn’t come with things, even with 20th century things.”

Other quotes like:

“There are many causes that I am prepared to die for but no causes that I am prepared to kill for.

What kind of victory is it when someone is left defeated?

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

Hinduism sounds pretty like Taoism.
